We collect very little.

This website

The site has no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no social media buttons. Its fonts and images are served from this site, so your browser doesn't contact Google Fonts or any other third party when you visit.

The site and the download files are hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use that information to identify or profile you. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

The Label Bridge app

Label Bridge finds, straightens and prints your labels on your own computer. The labels, and your buyers' names and addresses on them, are not sent to us or to any online service. You don't need an account.

Your licence key is checked on your computer, without contacting us. The key itself contains the name and email address you bought with, because that's who it's registered to.

If you use a watched folder in OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox, those files are handled by that service under your own account with them. Label Bridge only reads the copy that's synced to your computer.

Buying Label Bridge

Purchases are processed by Stripe, which acts as the reseller (the "merchant of record"). That means Stripe takes the payment, works out sales tax or VAT, and handles refunds and disputes. You enter your payment details on Stripe's checkout page. We never see or store your card number.

From each order, Stripe gives us:

• your name and email address
• your country and the billing details Stripe needs to work out tax
• what you bought, the amount and the tax charged
• your answer to "Where did you find Label Bridge?", if you gave one

We use this to send your licence key, to help you if you contact support, and to keep the business and tax records we're legally required to keep. Stripe's own use of your information is covered by Stripe's privacy policy. If you choose to save your details with Link at checkout, Link's privacy policy also applies.

Emailing us

If you email support, we see your email address and whatever you choose to send, including any label files you attach to help us fix a problem. Email to orthicsoftware.com addresses is forwarded by Cloudflare to our mailbox, which is hosted by Google (see Google's privacy policy).

We only use your emails to answer you and improve Label Bridge. If you send a label file, we use it only to fix your problem, and we'll delete it when you ask.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your information.
• We don't share it with advertisers or use it to target ads.
• We don't add you to a mailing list. We'll email you about your purchase or your support request, and nothing else.

How long we keep things

We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We keep support emails for as long as they're useful for helping you, and we delete them sooner if you ask.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We'll do so unless the law requires us to keep it, such as tax records of a sale. Depending on where you live, for example the UK, the EU or California, you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

To make a request, email [email protected]. It's a one-person company, so you'll deal with the same person who handles your data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll email customers about it.
